Bill Pollard Says Investing in People Is A Manager’s Duty (Video)

Video / Produced by partner of TOW

Christian managers must think of the personal character of the people they employ says Bill Pollard, former CEO and Chairman of The ServiceMaster Company and author of The Soul of The Firm.

Transcript:

Work is certainly a wonderful opportunity for people to develop, not only in their skill in the work and what they can accomplish in producing, but also the kind of person they’re becoming.

What we try to do is recognize that people are created in the image and likeness of God, with their own fingerprint of potential. They have value and worth regardless of the level of their jobs or what they’re doing. And there is a responsibility for those of us that are leaders in the firm to be involved in the development of people, not just in what they do but who they are becoming.
