Collaboration

Transcript

Leslie and Bill Marquard teach executives to learn more and decide better in less time. The key is collaboration.

In a typical think-tank exercise, they teach a group to give up learning "one thing at a time." Instead of five people reading the same list of five important books, each person reads only one book, and then reports back to everyone else. The result? Each learns one book well enough to present it. Then, together, they share and discuss the lessons of all five books.

This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. We hear a lot about thinking "outside" the box. A good leader knows that the best outside thinking often occurs "inside" a group . . . in the high calling of our daily work.

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

(Gal. 6:2)
