Do Your Job
Video / Produced by The High CallingIn the Parable of the Talents, it is the good steward to whom his master says, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'' (Matthew 25:22).
In our jobs, and in our faith, we are called to be good stewards of the work we have been given. We can't do that if we are constantly looking for the next big raise or promotion.
The future we are meant to keep fixed in view is the Kingdom—something far bigger and richer than any paycheck or reserved parking spot. Do your job well, and do it for the glory of God. That is the high calling of our daily work.
