Just a Little Wrong?

Audio / Produced by The High Calling

Transcript

Randy and several coworkers attended a week-long, out-of-town meeting. Once there, they were surprised to learn their hosts would provide their meals. Yet Randy’s expense account covered meals. You get the picture. Eat for free and pocket the cash. Happens all the time.

Everyone on the trip agreed that for the scheme to work, they must all take part. And so, unexpectedly, Randy found himself facing a compromise... or a potentially hostile crowd at work.

This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge, and the question is: if no one gets hurt, does it hurt to bend a rule? You know... just bend it? You already know the answer: there’s no such thing as no-fault cheating, ever... in the high calling of our daily work.

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator. (Colossians 3:9-10)
