Upper Crust Café

Audio / Produced by The High Calling

Transcript

The Upper Crust Café in Rockwall is a pure Texas gem—owned by Margie and Bill Orgain and known for fabulous bread pudding. "The best bread pudding on the planet," their motto says. And it comes in seven flavors.

Margie Orgain's bread puddings are edible art. Every batch receives painstaking attention. Why so much effort? "Because special guests come every day," Margie explains.

No wonder Margie loves her work—to her, every customer is a guest.

This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. Clearly, how we view people affects how they view us. In business and in life, do we value the people around us? Do they receive our best? It's good food for thought—in the high calling of our daily work.

The merciful, kind, and generous man benefits himself [for his deeds return to bless him], but he who is cruel and callous [to the wants of others] brings on himself retribution.

(Prov. 11:17, AMP)
