In storms of crisis, Joe was a haven of calm. When projects went wrong . . . when upper management was out of reach . . . Joe held the course. A team member asked Joe his secret.
He said: "In the Army, I served in a Cavalry Regiment. And we had a saying in the Cav, 'When all else fails, execute the last order you get.' "

Let others panic and scramble. Offer up a quick prayer. Your job is to do the best you can with the direction you have . . . in the high calling of our daily work.
