Transcript

The most popular entertainer in Las Vegas is Danny Gans. Danny's a singer, comedian, and impressionist. His shows pack people into the twelve-hundred-seat theater that bears his name. Although most of us have never heard of him, he's earned "Entertainer of the Year" status in Las Vegas, and his award-winning "Show of the Year" is the hottest ticket in town.

But the show-stopper is to hear Danny Gans describe himself: "I'm not the greatest singer in the world, or the funniest guy, or even the best at impressions. But put all those together with a lot of heart and drive and hard work—well, I think you've got something special."

This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. Heart, drive, and hard work—-they're all essentials in the high calling of our daily work.

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

(Ezek. 11:19-20)
