Around here, we really love stories about business owners who figure out how to bring their faith into their business beyond just putting a fish on their business cards. High Calling members like Sue Miley actually coach Christian entrepreneurs on how to have a success business without compromising faith.

But one business owner highlighted at The Institute for Faith, Work, & Economics really caught our eye. Ken Peterson, of Country Visions, Inc, oversees a line of high-end boutiques with more than 100 locations nationwide.

While making a living, employing others, and providing a product or service are core elements for any business, Peterson goes a step future. “My job is my ministry,” he said. “Each day is an adventure. I start with asking God to join my day and direct my path and plans according to his will, regardless of what my plans are. “

He’s not interested in just running his company with integrity; he has a stated goal of transforming the culture.

In his interview with the Institute, he said this. “I believe in lifting the moral compass in a culture, community, or business by the way we live and love.”
