Every day, you sneak by the cubicle of your co-worker who gripes about everyone, just to avoid getting sucked into his drama-prone world. But maybe there are other ways to deal with negativity in the workforce. In the Wall Street-Journal, Rachel Feintzeig writes about companies who are initiating policies to help combat gossip, rudeness, and uncivility.

At the National Security Agency, for instance, "Employees who did good deeds were honored as 'civility stars,' rewarded with plaques and, in one instance, extra time off—all in the name of increased cordiality among colleagues."
