Christians and Job Burnout

The pressure mounts. Deadlines loom. Long nights, poor eating choices, and little exercise all fuel the fires of discontent.

The evenings get shorter, and the weekends bleed into the weekdays. Most of us can keep this pace for a short amount of time, but over the course of a career, it's just not healthy for the mind, the body, or the soul.

“Am I burned out?” ask Megan Williams at her blog, Still Waters. “I'm just tired of doing things. I’m not sleepy or physically tired, but my will is shot,” she writes.

Many people these days are asking the same question, and to make matters worse, they’re stuck. The economy keeps them in jobs they don't dare give up.

Megan looks for answers from Google and comes up short.

"It's kind of sad how little advice there is for Christians suffering from job burnout," she said. "Most of what I've seen mimics what you find on secular sites.”

She’s not interested in platitudes or canned answers. Help her find an answer at Christians and Job Burn Out.
