Community Post: Spread Joy Like the Flu?
Blog / Produced by The High Calling
You know the old saying. If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. It turns out positive and negative moods really are contagious in a family. And mama isn't the only one with influence. Dad needs to be happy. Junior and Big Sister need to be happy, too.
In American Familis in Crisis, Jeffrey S. Turner writes, "A crisis in the life of one [family] member affects other family members. Although it is made up of individuals, a family is a system, and what affects one member affects the others."
Matt Tuckey at the Carlisle Family YMCA recently visited with Camp Koala about the Mentoring Project. Camp Koala's ministry to kids in crisis strikes a chord with us here at The High Calling because it feels so much like many of the things we do in Laity Lodge Family Camp and Foundation Free Camps.
Both Camp Koala and the Mentoring Project are doing their part to help families in crisis.
