Decision Making and the Mind of Christ

In a world of competing and often contradictory perspectives, how do we make good decisions? Christians believe that obedience to God's will is the best direction and that conforming our lives to God’s plan and purpose is the best plan.
The apostle Paul audaciously declares that we have the mind of Christ. (I Cor. 2:16) When we're instructed by God's word and inspired by his Spirit, we can think God's thoughts—his passion and purpose can burn in our hearts. God's perspective is not only possible, it is readily available through Jesus Christ. Of course, we'll continue to misunderstand and misconstrue God's will, but as we yield more of our lives to him we find his perspectives easier to understand and his plans easier to follow.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isa.. 55:8–9)
