Master Carpenter

Glenn is a master carpenter. I've seen him salvage the wood from a dilapidated pig shed—abandoned for years—and use that lumber to panel a room and finish off a closet. Glenn merely pried the boards off that smelly old pig shed—he didn't plane 'em or sand 'em. He just found a new use for 'em.

The results were beyond appealing; they were stunning! By taking materials that everyone else ignored—with creativity, imagination, and hard work—Glenn transformed an ordinary space into a spectacular bedroom.

This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. My challenge to you today is to look around with a new vision for what could be . . . and then make it happen. It's the high calling of our daily work.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Pet. 5:10)
