Do you have a vision that you just can't shake? It might be a new job, a project or ministry. It might be just the thing this world needs. But the only problem is that you are dwelling on the risks – the downsides, and you never can get started.

Mike Eaton, who blogs at Greater Seas, has “every intention of stirring your spirit” when he wrote, What’s the Worst That Could Happen?

His contention is that people who are stuck, rarely achieve anything. And they might be missing out on God’s voice.

“I believe dreams and discontent are God-given gifts – signals that you know things can be better," he says.

So how do we get from A to B? Eaton encourages us to consider the question, “What’s the worst thing that can happen?”

In my life, I run down the list of things that keep me from chasing the dream – finances, friends, possessions. But, as Eaton reminds us, all of that stuff is managed by God.

“Recognize that the worst that could happen as a result of the risk you’re about to take is not nearly as bad as you think it is,” he said. “God provides.”
